go to alleppey by bus...
get down at the bus stand at alleppey....
walk back to the nearby place where boats are waiting for you....
there is an information counter at the office run by the state tourism development corporation....
private parties also give good service....
you can either go for short ride in a small boat....
or opt for overnight stay in a houseboat which is costlier but cosy.....
