A barge passed by...

We were near the oil tanker berth of Cochin port and the children were happy and looked through the windows of our boat then on the the other side there was a something and it was...

a barge passing by with a heavy load of fertilizers.  it was a beautiful site and we had the opportunity to take this picture through the fin like backside of our boat.  the barge is a cheap alternative for the transport system through the road.  the roads are usually congested or crowded.

Dearest Jyothisethu,

Thanks for your visit and comment. Oh, in our home we have so many Indian craft pieces! People should learn more about this fabulous culture. We worked as consultants for over ten years for Pond's India, in Ooty, Tamil Nadu... you know, it is close to your area.
Last month we went to a pre-wedding and wedding ceremony of 4 days. The son of our Indian friends got married. We had a great time, especially the food is heaven to us. We miss it since we no longer work there but our friends share it often with us.
Love to you,

Mariette
